As Mathmos entered the 2000s, Mathmos would look to new technologies to create innovative ambient takes on lighting. The first of such new products was Bubble which was their first LED product. Bubble presents a portable, chargeable ball of luminosity that can be taken anywhere and is completely tactile and fun to hold. Bubble was followed by Tumbler which added colour changing and then by the popular Aduki. Bubble, Tumbler and Aduki were classed as Mathmos Mobiles which referenced mobile phones as they could be charged up and then taken anywhere. Mathmos followed this with their range of Softlight designs such as: Mini lamp, Ghost and Blimp. Other popular LED designs include: Crakalite, Lunar & Solar Eclipse, Aduki Ni, Babushka, Poplight, Blob and Flow, Bump Lantern and many more ... Mathmos also ventured into functional lighting with their Airswitch range, which used invisible sensing technology to control the light within. Mathmos would also diversify into candlelight with products such as: Float, Thaw and Melt ... Please see a selection of Mathmos Modern lights below ...
