Perhaps the second most popular manufacturer of mini 35mm slide projectors was Erno who produced the Cabin projector. There are various versions of this projector and it often appears under different manufacturer's names. For example an identical version is seen under the name Olympus Optical Co.

This rather compact projector is a very compact design that features the same opening concept as the USSR Etude and the later Minolta Mini designs. By simply pulling the locking button back on the top of the Cabin projector, the cover could rotate upwards, opening the projector for use. This particular design featured really well designed front panel that featured stripes and the word 'Cabin' placed on the front.

Erno's Cabin projector was manufactured from aluminium die-cast metal in two tone grey colours. The projection lens is : f/2.5 75mm ERNOLUX. The correct bulb is 100w 100 - 250 V. The dimensions are 9.5 x 7 x 15 cm. Optional accessories included: Semi-Autochanger and Cooler (cooling attachment).

Erno's Cabin Mini 35mm projector was manufactured in Japan. Enjoy the images below ...

The next gallery of images below displays the unique Meopta Mini 35mm Predior slide projector. This design is quite unique because it uses a very novel and unique design. Unlike other projectors such as the Minolta Mini or the Erno Cabin projector this design is opened by unlocking a spring mounted release screw on the front of the projector which allows the front of the design to expand and rotate. Meopta's Predior also features some unique features such as a built in stack loader for slides and a push pull mechanism built directly into the deisgn. To load the slides, there is a spring loaded tray located on the right of the design and to change the slide, there is a tab located on the top which one can slide from right to left to change the slide over. Made in Czechoslovakia, by the brilliant minds at Meopta. Enjoy the images below of this unique design. This design has also been seen in black.
