Schott who are leaders in glass manufacture, created a large number of the fibre optic sprays seen in most vintage European fibre optic lamps such as the Pyroball. However, Schott also created their own range of fibre optic designs and one which was sold in the 1990s was Schott's Astax range. Astax is a simple yet beautiful fibre optic lamp, which features a colour wheel inside that you can rotate on demand to change colours projected on the ends of the fibre optic spray. The beauty of this is that you can actually have two colours on display by simply placing the the colour wheel between two colour segments. Enjoy the images below.
