Launched in 2000, Fluidium was a radical new take on the lava lamp, designed by Ross Lovegrove. Fluidium was original launched in: Opal, Orange, Yellow and Green. The Green version would also feature the additional Blue/ Green colour way and the Orange version would also feature the additional Violet/ Orange colour way. Opal and Orange were retired leaving just the Yellow and Green models.

Mathmos Jetstream was a concept to refresh the Jet lava lamp via a slide-on cover that would simply just slide over the Mathmos Jet (after removing the top cap), and instantly transform the Jet into Jetstream. Jetstream was produced in Silver and White and works well with the bright Jet series of the late 1990s too.

As Mathmos entered the 2000s, Mathmos would look to new technologies to create innovative ambient takes on lighting. The first of such new products was Bubble which was their first LED product. Bubble presents a portable, chargeable ball of luminosity that can be taken anywhere and is completely tactile and fun to hold. Bubble was followed by Tumbler which added colour changing and then by the popular Aduki. Bubble, Tumbler and Aduki were classed as Mathmos Mobiles which referenced mobile phones as they could be charged up and then taken anywhere. Mathmos followed this with their range of Softlight designs such as: Mini lamp, Ghost and Blimp. Other popular LED designs include: Crakalite, Lunar & Solar Eclipse, Aduki Ni, Babushka, Poplight, Blob and Flow, Bump Lantern and many more ...
