Below: In 2009, Mathmos introduced another innovation to their candle range by introducing small candle powered cordless designs known as Mathmos Fireflow. Mathmos Fireflow was launched in two models, Fireflow R1, a rocket shaped design and then later on Fireflow O1, a tubular modern design that presents the lava bottle suspended within the design. Mathmos Fireflow was also presented during the time that Mathmos created the Mathmos vintage lava lamp exhibition and was presented on the window of the Mathmos shop and office at Kingsland Road. Fireflow bottles are small lava lamp bottles that contain the Mathmos liquids activated by heat. A simple tea-light brings the Mathmos Fireflow to life and creates the bubbling flow of the lava lamp within. |
